About the Event

Australia’s foremost bluesman, Ash Grunwald, brings his hot mama vibes to Tallagandra Hill with his evocative & intoxicating blues show.

Plus, Canberra’s very own Lucy Sugerman, who will support Ash, for this great night of music in the Canberra Wine District.

An institution at Bluesfest, Grunwald has toured the length and breadth of the nation for the past year, promoting his most celebrated studio album to date, so this casts his exquisite reprise. With a new single in the works, you’ll travel to New Orleans in pursuit of Johnny favourite to see a show that’s no more electrifying, no more evocative, no more intoxicating than this.

In March 2022, Grunwald dropped his 11th studio album to date – Shout Into the Noise – which was the follow-up record to his critically acclaimed collab with Josh Teskey, paradoxically entitled Push The Blues Away (2020).

With six Australian Top-50 albums to his credit, alongside five ARIA and four AIR Award Nominations, two APRA Awards, and gong for Best International Act at the LA Music Critic Awards in 2014, Grunwald is cast in bronze among Australia’s most successful blues musicians.

ABOUT THE VENUE

This event will be held indoors in our event venue. The venue will operate under COVID-safe conditions.

A range of Tallagandra Hill wines, local beers and soft drinks will be available to purchase on the night.

Food will also be available to purchase prior to the event and on the night. An email with a link to the dinner menu will be sent to all attendees approximately one week prior to the event. (Note you cannot bring your own food and beverage into the venue.)

Bookings are invited for groups of 4. Car-pooling is encouraged.

Tables will be reserved under the name of the person who made the booking.

This show is part of Tallagandra Hill’s We Love Local Festival, supporting local Australian artists and producers.
