The Canberra Wine District turns 50 this year, and this 2021 Canberra Wine Week we have a lot to celebrate. We want you to celebrate this milestone with us, and the only way to do this is with the best food and wine in Canberra.
Join us at The Boat House for a night of amazing food, incredible wines and stunning lakeside views, as we celebrate 50 years of the Canberra Wine region, a journey that was 50 years in the making, tasting the finest of the Canberra District’s cool climate wine region.
This year sit back and relax as Tim Kirk of Clonakilla, one of the founding family’s of the Canberra District joins us as key guest speaker.
Tim will delight us with stories of how his father, Dr John Kirk planted the first vines in 1971, along with Edgar Riek, while you enjoy a selection of 4 incredible Clonakilla wines, 4 courses Chef John Leverink and his team at The Boathouse have specially curated, ensuring that the night will delight the senses and amaze the palate.
Commencing with canapes and the regions top award winning sparkling wine, the Gallagher Wines Blanc de Blanc on the deck overlooking Lake Burley Griffin, the Kingston Foreshore and Parliament House, we’ll kick off with a delicious cheers to Canberra District Wine Week.
