About the Event
Join us at The Boathouse for a night of amazing food, incredible wines and stunning lakeside views, as we take you on a Liquid Geography journey, tasting the finest of the Canberra District’s cool climate wine region.
Listening to the magicians who turn the humble grape into a magical elixir, this years annual showcase dinner will feature the full diversity of our cool climate wine district which offers visitors and Canberrans a different experience across each unique area and calls out to be explored and enjoyed throughout the year come Autumn, Winter, Summer or Spring.
Each winemaker will speak of their wine, and how it reveals the terroir of our ancient soils, the romance behind the wine, and a few not so glamorous stories on how that red ends up in your glass.
We’re excited to announce that our special key note speaker on the evening will be Tim Kirk from Clonakilla.
Featuring a selection of the six top wines and their makers, Chef John Leverink and his team at The Boathouse have perfectly matched 5 courses to each wine, ensuring that the night will delight the senses and amaze the palate.
Commencing with canapes on the deck overlooking Lake Burley Griffin, the Kingston Foreshore and Parliament House, we’ll be toasting Canberra District Wine Week with the regions top award winning sparkling wine, Gallagher Wines Blanc de Blanc.
