About the Event
Join us for the 2020 Canberra Wines Fireside Festival as we celebrate 3 top Canberra winemakers and their favourite winter wines matched to amazing dishes out of the acclaimed Monster Kitchen and Bar kitchen, all while being kept toasty warm by the Salon open fire place.
We welcome Christine and Allan Pankhurst from Pankhurst Wines who will showcase their lovely Italian varietals, Arneis and Sangiovese, proving Canberra’s ability to make world class alternative varieties.
Next we’ll have Bobby Makin from Murrumbateman Winery showing why he makes some of the best Tempranillo in the district, and also how Pinot Gris can be more than just a light summery tipple, with his ’19 Grrr – on skins, pink and beautifully textured.
Last but by no means least, Geoff from Gundog Estate will show off the districts top two flagship grape varieties with their Canberra Riesling and Shiraz, two wines that perfectly showcase our cool climate favourites.
