Boffins was extensively renovated in 2018 to provide a modern contemporary dining experience.
Boffins at University House is the flagship restaurant with a focus on paddock to plate dining and serving the best of Canberra Region and Australian wines whilst showcasing artwork and sculpture from across the University.
Boffins wine list draws inspiration from the style of food we are serving. We have selected our wines from acclaimed Australian regions to complement the food. Our list features a number of organic and biodynamic wines which represents an emerging segment of the Australian wine culture as well as a selection of vintages that have been aged for more than 5 years. A large range of our wines also explores some of the great products of the Canberra District.
We work closely with the local wine suppliers and also showcase some of their limited release and premium vintages. The bar also stocks a wide range of artisan spirits and local craft beers providing diners with a unique selection.
We have developed partnerships with local and regional producers from small farmers focusing on one to two individual products to growers, who will only offer produce grown in the region and in season. Our chefs are in regular contact with producers and source food directly from farm gates where possible. Menus can change daily, based on supply and are ever evolving as our dedicated kitchen team works to display the best produce on offer.
Diners may select a la carte or try a ‘feed me’ menu and let the kitchen take them on a food journey.
