Norton Road Wines is a family owned venture specialising in growing and making small batch cool climate wines that reflect the terroir of our region. Owners Karen and Simon, are working with local viticulturists and winemakers to produce exceptional cool climate wines. Norton Road Wines showcases cool climate wines from across the local Canberra District wine region, along with a selection of local beers, ciders and spirits. We support local small batch winemakers and showcase their wines alongside our own. The vineyard is a small four acre parcel of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Riesling first planted in the 1990s and is currently being rejuvenated along with new plantings of Cabernet Franc and Gamay.
Norton Road Wines also hosts Biggie’s BBQ restaurant on-site. Biggie’s is an American BBQ themed restaurant serving BBQ that is cooked low and slow on smokers imported from the US. The restaurant is open every weekend and hosts special events featuring Canberra District wines.
The Norton Road vineyard at Wamboin is a small four acre parcel of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Riesling first planted in the 1990s by the Davies family (the former Shepherd’s Run). The vineyard is currently being rejuvenated along with new plantings of Cabernet Franc.
The venue can be booked for private functions, including special occasions and celebrations, or planning days, Board meetings, Committee meetings etc.
