McKellar Ridge Wines Shine

McKellar Ridge 2015 Shiraz-Viognier, 2016 Riesling and the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc have all recently won Gold Medals in NSW, Queensland and Canberra and Region wine shows.

The 2015 Shiraz Viognier won Top Gold and Trophy in the Boutique category of the NSW Small Winemakers Show and also a Gold at the Royal Queensland Wine Show. The 2016 Riesling Gold in NSW Small Winemakers Show and the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc won Gold in the Canberra and Region wine Show.

Brian and Janet put these top-level successes down to hard work in the vineyards, to careful wine-making to protect the natural fruit flavours and to provide balance and good mouthfeel to the wines. Canberra District fruit and quality winemaking is shining right across the District.

As well as these Gold medals, McKellar Ridge wines won Silver medals for Pinot Noir and Merlot-Cabernet Franc and a Bronze Medals for its 2016 Rose and its new wine, 2016 Tempranillo.
