FIRESIDE FESTIVAL: Poachers by Fire

About the Event

A Chef-led dining experience by the fireside

Join us at the Poachers’ Restaurant and Kitchen Garden for a fireside dining experience that embraces the cooler evenings and focusses on the very best of seasonal produce.

Local truffles will feature on the menu.

Poachers by Fire is a relaxed yet refined evening where Chef Adam Wilson and Chef Jack Huxtable will start by cooking over open fire in the Kitchen Garden, followed by a seated main and dessert in the restaurant. A glass of Poachers Vineyard Blanc de Blanc (or other beverage) can be enjoyed as you enter the garden.

Guests will be guided through their thoughtfully curated menu inspired by winter and it’s produce.

Gather around the fire, settle in with a glass of wine and experience a winter menu designed to be shared.

Whether you’re celebrating an occasion or looking for a night out during the depths of Canberra winter, the Poachers’ Fireside Dinner promises an evening of great food, wine and warm hospitality.

Cost: $178PP, multi-course, beginning outside by the fire followed by main and dessert within the restaurant. Pricing includes drink on arrival.

Date: Saturday, 1 August 2026

Time: 5PM – 9PM.

Beverage: a Poachers Vineyard wine pairing is available for the seated dinner, $36PP or drinks on consumption

The Poacher’s Chefs will cook the entrée over the outdoor fire, followed by the seated main and dessert inside.

Once dinner is over, enjoy a winter cocktail or digestif by the fire, inside or out.
