Mount Majura Vineyard
About
The District’s closest winery to Canberra, only 15mins from the city itself, Mount Majura is a leading Australian producer of the Spanish variety Tempranillo. All wines are sourced from the single vineyard site of red clay loam soils containing limestone. The vineyard is also known for producing some of the District’s best Riesling and Shiraz along with a range of new and exciting alternative varieties including Graciano, Mondeuse and Touriga.
The cellar door features a unique seated tasting allowing an interactive yet relaxing tasting experience.
All tastings are accompanied by individual tasting plates to complement the wines. Bookings essential via the website.
Self-guided ‘gumboot tours’ through the vineyard provide a more active option, allowing participants to learn more about viticulture while enjoying a walk amongst the vines.
