McKellar Ridge Shiraz Viognier Hits the Mark

McKellar Ridge Shiraz Viognier

Further evidence that James Halliday is impressed with Canberra District Shiraz Viognier came with a recent score of 96 points for McKellar Ridge 2015.

Writing in the January 2017 edition of the Australian Wine Companion magazine James wrote: “Co-fermented with 4% Viognier, matured for 9 months in French oak, mostly new. Deep, full crimson-purple; the promise of the complex dark fruits of the bouquet is fulfilled by the elegant, yet intense, medium-bodied palate. It has superb shape, texture and balance. Small wonder Brian Johnston say’s it’s the best so far”.
