Canberra & Regional Wines Masterclass at Corang Estate
About the Event
Want to know more about the region’s wine with a top-notch winemaker? Now’s your chance!
As part of the Canberra District Wine Industry Association annual Stomp Festival, Corang Estate is presenting masterclasses at their cellar door in Tarago.
Michael Bynon, owner and winemaker of Corang Estate will take you through a journey of the classic and emerging varieties of the Canberra District and surrounding regions. He’ll guide you through fine examples of varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay and Shiraz as well as some of the exciting alternate varieties that the region is becoming known for. Learn why these varieties work so well in our region and gain an insight into what makes the resulting wines so distinctive.
Michael is a 40-year veteran of the wine industry. With global experience across production, retail and wholesale, his greatest skill is tasting. He is one of the few people in Australia to pass the Master of Wine Tasting examination; skills he uses daily in selecting fruit and assessing the wines through production and ageing. With arguably one of the best palates in the business, a masterclass with Michael is just that: A masterclass!
